The US-based Sunflower Mission is to provide 75,000 USD for the construction of schools in the mountainous areas of Thot Not, Vinh Thanh, Co Do and Phong Dien districts of the Mekong Delta’s Can Tho City.

The organisation has also said it will grant allowance for disadvantaged students from between 400,000-1,000,000 VND each with tertiary students eligible for 100 USD grants.

The Sunflower Mission is a non-governmental organisation founded by overseas Vietnamese people, that is committed to improving the living standards of rural Vietnamese and providing educational assistance programmes.

Over the past years, the organisation has built schools in several Mekong Delta provinces.
