Hot Off the Press

Every year a dedicated team of individuals work hard to get our annual report published. This year was no different. We are so excited about this fresh new design. Thank you to our very talented designer, Nguyen! Not only did she come up with the concept for the annual report herself, she also helped to organize and collaborate with the board of directors.

Working towards a deadline with many moving parts, Nguyen was able to capture all of our ideas, images, and words elegantly. Knowing how much work it requires, we can’t thank the team enough.

Every Cent is Important

We love all of our supporters! We also love their efforts in fundraising for us and we can never emphasize this enough—every cent counts. Here are words from high school student, Liliane Pham, on why she fundraises for the children of Vietnam. Thank you, Liliane, for sharing your story!

I have always wanted to help people in any way that I could. I understood that small steps could lead to big changes. When I first heard about Sunflower Mission, I was curious and concerned with how life actually was in Vietnam. I remember my grandparents not having the opportunity to learn as they only had paper and drops of ink to use.

Hygiene & Health Education Initiative

There are so many factors that go into making a student successful — inside and outside of the classroom. We are excited to be expanding our programs to include health and hygiene! The Hygiene & Health Education Initiative (HHEI) was launched in the fall of 2016. This new program is aimed at teaching students the basics of hand-washing, cleanliness, and health.
