Feb 2004 - Year of the Monkey. This fundraising event was coordinated by Terri Tran. We organized a food boothe at the annual Tet festival at the Astro arena, featuring Terri's hot Chicken wings, traditional Vietnamese fried rice and spicy stir fried noodles. Over 20 Sunflower volunteers joined in and we quickly had everything sold by the early afternoon. Through our team efforts we netted $1200.00, a remarkable success considering that many neigboring boothes did not even make even. But more importantly, our members had a fun filled day bonding with each other, working at the boothe and enjoying the festivities of the Vietnamese holiday.
