An Afternoon with Sunflower Mission

Serving as a first time mentor, I was concerned about my own abilities. Could I corral an energetic young group into some type of constructive order?
2008 Annual Christmas Dinner & Fun
Over 100 friends, members and supporters of Sunflower Mission (SM) gathered on Saturday Dec. 13, 2008 at the Dao-Le 's residence to celebrate Christmas holidays. All of us were able to put aside our worries and uncertainties in this extraordinary economic environment to enjoy a well- planned social event with family and friends.
A Day With Sunflower Mission
At 7:45am, many of our summer work camp participants arrived at the gate of The Dao-Le residence. Some of them drove straight from out of town at 4am and some of them flew in from other states. They were so punctual it was refreshing and it demonstrates their enthusiasm. One shared with me that he arrived at 7am but did not ring the gate because too early.

The event was a successful one. The organizers estimated that 160 people attended and $574 was raised for the Sunflower Mission. Once again, we would like to thanks the following organizations:
SM Beach Retreat, 2007
This year, Sunflower Mission hosted the annual beach retreat in Galveston. When the first group arrived at the beach house, we had the usual problem with unlocking the door to get in.
