On April 30, 2011, New York University's Vietnamese Students Association (VSA) hosted it's first annual Semi-Formal charity event. David Manusov was a community-minded individual working on a Boy Scout Eagle project to raise funds to build a school for "at risk" kids in Vietnam. In Oct. 2010, sadly, David passed away. His father, Mark Manusov, along with his family and friends have made a commitment to seeing his goal is achieved.

The University of Houston Vietnamese Student Association (UH VSA) will be hosting a charity fashion show and cultural performance night to benefit Sunflower Mission, a local nonprofit that assists needy children of Vietnam by building schools and giving scholarships. The event is set for 6:30-10:00 p.m. April 3rd, 2009 at Kim Son (10603 Bellaire Blvd location).

Tickets are $20/individual ($25 at the door) or for a table of 10 $175.
