"A Night of Dream" Gala

Dream Box Charity, a non-profit, non political organization based in Calgary, Aberta Canada, held its 1st annual charity gala "A Night of Dream" on November 17, 2007 to raise fund for Sunflower Mission and a second organization. Special guest speaker of the event was Ms Duy-Loan Le, Advisor and Co-founder of Sunflower Mission. The program included buffet dinner, musical performances by local artists, 'Ao Dao' fashion show by Designer Nin Nguyen, and live auction of donated items.

UH Charity Fashionable Date

The fashion show at the University Center Houston Room was attended by an audience of around 400 students, parents, dancers, fashion designers and models. The main benefactor was the Sunflower Mission, whose goal is to elevate the educational level of people in Vietnam by building schools and aiding in educational assistance programs. In 2006 the organization raised $109,000 that went toward the building of classrooms in Vietnam and $37,000 toward scholarships.

UH Charity Cultural Show

HOUSTON, TX — The University of Houston Vietnamese Student Association (UH VSA) will be hosting a charity fashion show and cultural performance night to benefit Sunflower Mission, a local nonprofit that assists needy children of Vietnam by building schools and giving scholarships.

TI Vietnamese Houston Initiative

Texas Instruments Vietnamese Houston Initiative (TI VHI) worked tirelessly over 400 hrs to create a DVD set as a gift for people who donate money to build schools for underpriviledged children in Vietnam.

60/50 For Education: 60 year-young runner to run the 50-mile ultra marathon

On December 13, 2003, a marathon runner celebrated his upcoming 60th birthday and raised donations for education in Vietnam by running the ultra marathon, a tortuous 50-mile run!
