Seeking volunteer face painters
Dear Sunflower Mission FunPlex Volunteers,
Thank you for answering our call and volunteering your services (artistic and otherwise) this year. The event was such a success and much of that is due to the work you put into helping at the crafts table or with face painting. It was no small feat! With the throngs of people pushing to get past each other, it was the small child, sitting in the chair, patiently waiting to see your handi-work that was most important to each volunteer. When that moment came and they looked in the mirror, their eyes widened, the slightly weary face lit up into a smile, and an excited nod signaled your success!

ROCK-N-BOWL-A-THON Fundraiser

Amid the music and the laughter, with many “gutter” balls and the occasional “strike”, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Who can forget the scenes of all little girls and boys who could barely carry the heavy balls...
Lemonade Day! (Created by Prepared 4 Life)

The event corresponded with the Prepared 4 Life’s Lemonade Day Event, which annually promotes business experience and entrepreneurship for kids all over America. Under the guidance of our mentor and an SM Director, Quyen Ma, we calculated costs, presented a business plan, and executed a successful fundraiser...
An Afternoon with Sunflower Mission
One of the goals of Sunflower Mission is to provide opportunities for younger members to step up and take on larger responsibilities. The Annual Social was that chance. Serving as a first time mentor, I was concerned about my own abilities. Could I corral an energetic young group into some type of constructive order?
