Where Smiles Begin
by Trần Tường Vi
Today marks the fourth day of my first Workcamp. I've had a bit of regret these past few days because I've been sick. Despite that, being able to join everyone in painting walls and creating art to help others made me forget my fatigue.
Over the past few days, I've met many new friends, experienced new things, and seen the bright smiles and sparkling eyes of the children at the school. All of these things have made my trip even more meaningful.
Today, I joined the library team and, together with everyone, we printed handprints onto a large tree. The moment that barren tree bloomed with colorful handprints was truly magical. I feel so lucky to be a part of this Workcamp.
And at the end of the day, we had a cultural exchange activity with the children. The adorable children, dressed in their traditional outfits, had prepared wonderful performances. Then, we all played "nhảy sạp" together. This was my first time playing this game, and it was fantastic! Seeing everyone's smiles made it all worthwhile!
