Sign up for English Initiative!

We are excited to share with you that Sunflower Mission’s English Initiative (EI) is now accepting Mentors for Spring 2026! The purpose of EI is to help our university students in Vietnam practice their English skills. We are looking for motivated high school juniors and seniors, college students, and young professionals to join our program. This will be a great opportunity for you to meet a new friend and make a positive impact on their life! 

Here’s how it works: 

You (the Mentor) will be paired with one or more college students in Vietnam (the Mentee) based on your major/occupation, interests, and proficiency in Vietnamese (knowing Vietnamese is NOT a requirement). The time commitment is at least one 60-minute video call per week, and the program will span six weeks from February 27 - April 3.

Before each session, we will send out a prompt and questions to guide your conversations. You can schedule your speaking sessions based on what works best for you and your Mentee(s). During the video call, you will help your Mentee(s) hone their English skills by having a conversation as well as practicing reading and writing with them.
